WD Austerity Class 8F 2-8-0 No. 90272 releases steam from its cylinder cocks at 50D Goole. One of a Class of 733 locomotives, commonly known as ‘bed-irons’ (I know not why) 90272 lay in store at 50D after withdrawal in June 1967 until late November before being despatched to Draper’s, Hull for cutting up.
